Personalized OCD Treatment
IN PEORIA & THROUGHOUT ILLINOIS
Helping you restore your trust
and resolve your doubt.
Learn to trust yourself again.
OCD sufferers are plagued by doubts.
What if…I hurt my baby?
Maybe…I left the door unlocked.
I could…be a fraud.
It’s possible…I made a mistake.
What if…my hands are contaminated?
Maybe…I’m not the sexual orientation I say I am.
I could…have hit a person while driving.
It’s possible…I’m a pedophile.
The more you check, review, ruminate, get reassurance, do a ritual, the less sure you become.
It feels so real! You must do compulsions, rituals, or avoid the risk altogether.
Your world gets smaller as your doubt grows.
But what if you could resolve the doubt?
There are evidence-based options that can help you regain your self and your life,
to restore your trust and resolve your doubts.
Hi, I’m Mary.
I provide multiple evidence-based options for treating OCD.
I believe OCD sufferers deserve options. There is no one right or best treatment for everyone. You are the expert in your own life, and I have expertise in different models of understanding and treating OCD. This is a place where you will be heard with compassion, honored for your individual experiences, and treated with dignity.
My training in a variety of OCD treatment methods means that we don’t have to resort to just one way of doing things. You can learn about your options, we can make a decision about the best fit for you, and then make adjustments as we go.
Together we can find what works for you.
How I can help:
ERP for OCD
Intentionally facing your fears while preventing compulsions in order to break the cycle that maintains OCD.
I-CBT for OCD
Learn how obsessive doubts are created to realize there was nothing to fear to begin with.
Adjunct Therapies
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Rumination Focused ERP, and Metacognitive Therapy for additional support with OCD when needed.
OCD Overlaps
When OCD overlaps with Autism, ADHD, sensory sensitivities, generalized anxiety, and/or trauma, we use a very individualized and nuanced approach
Whether you suspect you might have OCD, or if you know you’ve been suffering and need help, or even if you’ve tried therapy before, let’s connect and see if I can help.
When you’re ready, here are your next steps:
Click “Let’s Connect” to schedule a 30 minute Zoom consultation. You can ask me questions, get to know more about how I work, and we will each decide if I have the right skillset for you and if we would be a good fit to work together.
If we are a good fit, we’ll schedule a 90 minute intake session. We will work towards a shared understanding of what you are struggling with and options for treatment.
We will work as a team, using the approach(es) we’ve chosen together, to help you understand and overcome your OCD, resolve your doubt, restore your self trust, live your life according to what’s important to you, not out of fear of what might be.
